Cookies & advertising

The tool at /app sets no advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking cookies — it stays completely ad-free, and you can verify in your browser’s network tab that nothing is sent anywhere.

On our blog we may use Google AdSense to help keep the tool free. When ads are enabled, they load only after you accept them via a consent banner shown on the blog; if you decline, no advertising cookies are set and no ad network is contacted. The tool itself never shows ads. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s data.

Functional storage we use

The site uses your browser’s storage for features you explicitly use — everything stays on your device:

KeyTypePurposeDuration
unfollowly.license.v1localStorageRemembers your activated unlock code so you don’t have to re-enter it.Until you clear it
unfollowly.adsConsent.v1localStorageRemembers whether you accepted or declined ads on the blog.Until you clear it
unfollowly.pendingRequestAtlocalStorageRemembers that you requested your Instagram export, so the checklist resumes where you left off.Until you clear it
unfollowly.snapshots.v1:*IndexedDBYour locally-saved follower snapshots for the history feature (Tracker).Until you delete them

How to clear it

In your browser settings, clear site data for this website. Note that this also deletes your locally-saved history snapshots — back them up first from the History tab if you want to keep them.
